The Big Lake Mary Association was founded in 2022 by lakefront residents to protect and manage the aquatic health and recreational use of the 99-acre lake. Darryl and Bobby Good, Matt and Christy Trask, and Kristine and Jon Litton advanced funding for the Solitude Lake Management Study and then worked to gather contact information from each homeowner. On May 18, 2022 they organized a first-ever meeting of residents to discuss interest in working together to care for the lake.

Our Mission

The Big Lake Mary Association, Inc. is a Not for Profit organization established by the adjoining property owners to preserve and protect Big Lake Mary in Lake Mary, Florida to enhance the aquatic quality, recreational use, and aesthetic values of the lake for today and for future generations. In addition, the organization will encourage communication, cooperation, and understanding among the adjoining property owners.

Darryl and the founders have highlighted issues with milfoil and other invasive plants that are inhibiting boating and enjoyment. I am grateful for their efforts to find safe solutions for our lake.
— Katie Seymour, 30-year lake resident
